Efficient Mechanical Filtration for Aquaculture Systems
The Atlasaqua Drum Filter is a widely used mechanical filtration device designed to effectively remove solid particles from water in fish farming and intensive aquaculture operations. By filtering suspended solids through a rotating drum screen, it captures and separates waste materials, ensuring cleaner water and a healthier environment for aquatic species. Water flows through the drum filter where particles accumulate on the mesh surface. The drum continuously rotates, and collected solids are automatically cleaned off using high-pressure water jets, maintaining consistent filtration efficiency with minimal manual intervention. Atlasaqua Drum Filters are available in standard capacities ranging from 10 to 1000 m³/hour, with filtration mesh sizes between 50 and 200 microns. For specialized applications, filtration down to 10 microns can be custom-produced. Typically, 50-micron screens are used in hatchery units for juvenile fish, while 200-micron screens are preferred for grow-out units.

Constructed from 304 and 316 stainless steel, Atlasaqua Drum Filters are built to withstand the demands of both freshwater and seawater systems. The 304 stainless steel model is ideal for freshwater applications, whereas the 316 stainless steel version is designed to resist corrosion in marine environments. Optional features include an automatic cleaning system with a timer control, which optimizes water consumption and energy use, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing costs.
