Algae tanks are designed to combine the space-saving structure of rectangular tanks with the efficient water circulation advantages of circular tanks using minimal energy. The inner surface of the fiberglass algae tanks is coated with food-grade gelcoat and can be manufactured in custom dimensions. The design of microalgae tanks is critical for commercial-scale production. The diffusion of oxygen, CO₂, and light is vital for algae growth and is directly influenced by the tank's design. To prevent algal sedimentation and maintain optimal production conditions with hydrodynamic balance, continuous water circulation is required. Therefore, algae cultivation tanks are equipped with water circulation systems.

For small-sized algae tanks, we use standard molds, while for larger models, modular molds are used, allowing on-site assembly. The base of the tank can be covered with concrete or membrane depending on the project area. Algae tanks are typically designed with a height between 40 cm and 70 cm. In closed or insulated growing environments, LED lighting can be utilized for algae production.
